About Me | George O'Connor

Hello, I'm George O'Connor, a Communication Designer currently based in Schwäbisch Gmünd.

I am currently in my fifth Semester at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany – an institution known for its interdisciplinary approach to design. My coursework covers the exciting fields of networked, didactic, spatial, and transmedia communication.

As I progress in my studies, my focus has increasingly shifted toward the potential of networked and spatial communication, areas in which I am currently gaining practical experience through my internship.

Designer and creative problem solver

Beyond my university coursework, I enjoy experimenting with product design, often using my CRICUT Air machine to bring ideas to life. Additionally, I enjoy the process of animation, employing various software programmes to develop my skills in visual storytelling.

Beyond my design pursuits, I have a diverse range of interests. I've been involved in snowboarding, football and tennis for several years. I'm also a keen enthusiast of Science Fiction in film, television and printed media. Furthermore, I enjoy reading and actively engage in social events, both as a host and participant.

I am currently completing an internship at SOLIDSENSE GmbH, where I am gaining hands-on experience in the field of exhibition design. Starting in January, I hope to take part in the Erasmus exchange program and spend a semester abroad.
